Thankful for Chapel
Chapel has been a staple of campus life since the very beginning of CBC. Unlike the early days, chapel now only meets once a week on Wednesdays for an hour long service.
As a former student, and now employee, my view of Chapel has shifted to a new and unique perspective. No longer is Chapel something I am required to go, but instead something I choose to attend weekly. Students, please listen, though you may not feel this way now you are blessed to have a school that cares about your spiritual welfare.
Chapel is more than a requirement; it is an opportunity. It’s a chance to dig deeper into the heart of God. It’s a place to grow, and learn, and worship. Without it, our campus wouldn’t thrive the way it does.
There’s something special about walking into the Burgess Auditorium. Each week a different chapel speaker comes to challenge our hearts with what God has laid on theirs. Not only does Chapel offer you the opportunity to learn and grow individually, you also get the chance to learn and grow with your friends.
There is simply nothing better than coming together with a collective set of believers, and then going out and doing life with them. What a blessing!
If you haven’t been able to visit campus since the renovation of the Burgess Auditorium, follow the link below for your very own virtual tour: https://thebiggerpicture.tours/walkthrough/central-baptist-college-burgess-auditorium/fullscreen/
So if you’re looking for a place to feel at home, where you can grow as a student, person, and believer- look no further than CBC.
