The Toad Suck Daze Community Service Scholarship was established to foster an opportunity for civic responsibility, education, outreach and community growth among Faulkner County youth.

To date $1.5 million has been awarded to education initiatives in the form of direct scholarships, endowments, and pre-k learning.  Approximately 290 Faulkner County students have received financial assistance through direct scholarships and endowments at Central Baptist College, Hendrix College, University of Central Arkansas, and the Arkansas Faulkner County Community Foundation.

In 2015, Toad Suck Daze will award up to $25,000 in direct scholarships.

Scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each will be awarded to students planning to attend Central Baptist College, Hendrix College or the University of Central Arkansas.
Scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each will be awarded to students attending the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton.

Applications are due NO LATER than Friday, March 13, 2015.  
Applications submitted after the deadline WILL NOT be considered.

Submit the following to the address below.
  • Scholarship Application
  • Official School Transcript
  • Copy of parent or legal guardian's tax return (Form 1040 with schedules A&B only - from 2013 or 2014)
  • One page essay describing the service contributed to the community, how and why it benefited the community, and what was learned while serving.
  • Log of Community Service Hours
  • 3 Letters of recommendation:  
    1. non-profit supervisor where the applicant provided service, 
    2. teacher or other education professional, and 
    3. applicant's choice.
