2019 FALL SPORTS REVIEW

Conway, Ark. - The 2019 Fall sports review highlights the Central Baptist College announcements of the all-conference awards for the fall season on Friday afternoon. CBC earned five fall all-American Midwest Conference awards on the field and 16 all-academic awards off the field.
The standout team of the fall was mens golf, who finished 19th in the NAIA Poll and 23rd in the Bushnell Golfweek poll for the fall season. The mens golf team won three tournaments in the fall while finishing second in two others and third in the first tournament of the season. Their season will resume in March.
Womens golf also competed this fall and had some success. Alyssa Hagewood posted a top-five individually in the FHU Fall Invitiatonal and the womens golf team competed in five tournaments in the fall and will also resume their season in March.
Volleyball also had an outstanding season, finishing with a program record 16 wins and additionally breaking 16 program records in the process. Lena Srdanov received all-AMC honorable mention honors and four players, Khyra Echols, Reaven Seymore, Hope Johnson and Kelsy Knox, were all-academic team honorees.
Cross Country ran six meets this fall and posted some excellent results during the season. Mens cross country had six all-academic team honorees from the AMC and womens cross country had two.
Mens soccer ended the season 5-11-1, but won their final two matches of the season. Ryan Lee finished the season with a team-high eight goals and teammates Nyasha Dube and Carlos Beltran earned honorable mention recognition from the AMC while Cobi Johnson, Andrew Montoya and Tyler Maynard were all recognized as academic all-conference selections.
Womens soccer went 2-15-1 this fall and barely missed making the AMC playoffs. Mallory Howard and Ashley Hultquist were picked by the AMC as honorable mention all-conference nominees and Kaylee Parker was an all-academic team selection.
