High School Concurrent Student

Admissions Process

Central Baptist College wants to help you earn college credit in high school by taking actual college classes. All home school, public and private, high school students are welcome.

Cost

Tuition is $100 per credit hour plus any applicable course material fees.

Books are a separate charge and can be obtained through cbc.textbooks.com our official book store. Rent and save up to 80% on textbooks or buy new or used.

Concurrent Partner Schools: Partner School students will follow their internal school process for the appropriate payment. Please contact your school’s concurrent liaison with any questions.

Payment Options

Once you complete the admissions and registration process payment will be due before you start class. If you are paying on your own and not through a concurrent partner school please contact the Business Office to pay or set up payment arrangements.

Documents for Admission

Your admission to Central Baptist College will be determined once you submit the following documents to the Admissions Office:

Application for admission for both new & returning students. (Also includes enrollment course selection)
High school transcript and all college transcripts from previous concurrent enrollment.
ACT or Accuplacer scores. (CBC is an Accuplacer testing site; in person or online)
Recommendation from high school counselor or principal. (Listed as a consent checkbox on the application)
Student Expectation & FERPA Form (An e-sign document will be emailed once the application is completed and student is accepted)

Enrollment Criteria

Must be Sophomore, Junior or Senior in high school.
Must have an ACT composite score of 19 (Accuplacer- Next Gen (NG) 250)
Must have an ACT Reading sub score of 19 (250 Accuplacer-NG)
Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Sub score requirements
- ENG 1300 Composition I: ACT English sub score of 19 (250 Accuplacer-NG)
- MTH 1303 College Alg.: ACT Math sub score of 21 (253 Accuplacer-NG)
Must meet course prerequisites.
Students must earn a minimum grade of “C” in each course in order to continue enrollment in the next semester. If a grade of “C” is not earned in each course, students will be eligible to return after one semester.
Student will be required to comply with all college policies and procedures.

Enrollment Documents & Process

After the student’s application has been accepted for admission an e-sign document will be sent to both the student and parent email for e-signature. (Only 1 is required to be completed)

This will automatically be delivered to the Admissions Office and this will begin your course registration. If you are not apart of a CBC Concurrent Partnership school then the student will be notified by text and email when their registration is complete and give the next steps to complete.

Once the student has been notified their registration is complete then you will be able to contact the Business Office to make payment arrangements. The student will also receive text messages and emails with these next steps as well. Please contact the Business Office with any questions. Also, please contact the Admissions Office for any general concurrent enrollment questions.
