Allison Lightfoot

Public Services Librarian

I absolutely love being a librarian at CBC. It is a joy to work alongside fellow Christians and to help students each day.

My journey at CBC started in 2005 as a freshman college student. That first semester I started working in the J.E. Cobb Library as a student worker. My love for libraries grew during my time at CBC, and I dreamt of the possibility of becoming a librarian one day. Fast-forward to 2015. Rachel Whittingham, director of Story Library, hired me as a library clerk and I was beyond excited. She encouraged me to pursue a master’s degree so that I could eventually become a librarian. In 2017, I was promoted to Public Services Librarian at CBC, and in 2018 I earned my master’s degree.

I know that God led me to CBC over 15 years ago and that orchestrated my life to lead me to where I am today. It is a blessing and privilege to work at CBC and I am so thankful to be here.
