Jason Kimbrow is a 2005 graduate of Central Baptist College. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible with an emphasis in Pastoral Studies. Jason is currently the Campus Pastor of New Life Church in Fayetteville, AR.
A Change of Plans
“In the middle of my time at CBC, God called me to the ministry,” said Kimbrow. “My dad (current CBC President Terry Kimbrow) worked [at CBC] and my original intention was just to get my associate degree and move on to UCA.” However, things changed as Jason was entering a critical time in his life. “I was coming back to God when I was at CBC. Being in this environment and being in the atmosphere and surrounded by the people I was surrounded by was exactly what I needed. It gave me a safe place to find God again.”
Life Changing
Kimbrow added that his CBC experience gave him the Biblical training required to do what he was feeling called to do. “Professionally, CBC gave me the foundation to teach people the Bible and gave me the confidence to preach. The opportunity to preach as a student was life changing. I remember going to my dad’s office and asking him to get me out of oral communications because I didn’t want to do it, but he didn’t, and it changed my life. That helped me overcome my fear of public speaking.”
CBC is a Special Place
When asked what CBC means to him, Kimbrow responded: “It means a lot to me. My family’s dedication to it makes it a special place. I have a lot of fond memories of the life change that occurred while I was a student there. CBC is not just about education, it changes people’s spiritual lives!”
