Jordon Jones Head Softball Coach

Coach Jones is in her second year at Central Baptist College as the Head Softball Coach. She fit right in to the CBC family in her first year as the Mustang’s Head Softball Coach. From her commitment to serving God through leading her student-athletes closer to him. To her high standard of integrity and excellence in all the details of her job. It was this focus that brought the second National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship to Central Baptist College in just her first year as a head coach.

Jordon is passionate about CBC’s mission which is committed to, “…transforming lives through education that integrates Christian faith and academic excellence in a Christ-centered environment.” She is also thankful for what the mission of CBC has personally done to her own life as a CBC student. Jordon is a native Arkansan from Sheridan, AR. She attended Sheridan High School and she was initially attracted to Central Baptist College because of the success that the Mustangs were having in Softball at that time under Head Coach Jason Anderson. As you will read next, the Mustang Softball success was just the tip of the iceberg of what Jordon found at CBC.

Here is Jordon’s CBC story.

CBC first caught my attention when I was a senior in high school looking to pursue a college softball program to call home. Although I first got to campus only looking for that, I soon realized that I had become part of a family by picking Central Baptist College. As I enter my second year as Head Softball Coach, I look back and realize that this is exactly where God intended for me to be. My favorite part of CBC as a student was the small family atmosphere. I loved knowing that my teachers really did care about my future and even my play on the field!  As a head coach now and looking back. I love that you cannot leave this place without hearing that God loves you. You are not force fed the gospel, but you can count on constantly being reminded of his love and grace. This is an important message that follows you even after you graduate. This message is so important in a school that the student body is made up of more than half student-athletes that come from all over the country and even the world. CBC means a lot to me personally. It has opened so many doors and there is no doubt all of it was in God’s plan. Between being a student, an assistant, an admissions counselor, and now a head coach, I have been at CBC for a combined 7 years. They can’t quite get rid of me! I am most thankful for what I have learned and felt from this CBC family. I left this school knowing God loved me and had a plan for me. It is refreshing to have confidence that I am right where I need to be. It is my hope that all the students that attend CBC right now feel the same way!
